contest selections show variance in picking winners not one of the 100 entries re ceived in the bee football contest last week proved to lie a winner the entrants were handicapped by the ties that marked several of the games eight contestants tied for high total hitting 7 out of 10 because of the ties that were played last week the bee sports editor ed heary bus ad 38 has decided to make a concession to the students entered and allow the seven best totals to count for the final prize this will allow the students who have not as yet en tered to be eligible for the flnal prize as there will be seven more sets of scores printed with two or three exceptions everyone picked buffalo over al leghany showing the spirit that is behind the team there was only one peraon who picked nebraska over minnesota the rest of the so-called masterminds picked the tulane-auburn game and the ar kansas-texas christian game wrong out of the football players that entered grieco had the best score with 7 out of 10 hanky-panky intrator must have been thinking of his girl when he made out his entry he came in last with 3 out of 10 right even if you didn't win last week remember you are still eligible for the grand prize it's all free and anyone starting this week haß an equal chance to win ed note the bee keeps its two bucks souls of ex-editors laid to last rest gymnasium to rid barn of ancient haunts at last the souls of all the sports editors of this blatter may rest in peace raymond cook george har rison bury edwin h buchholtz and bernard obletz will not stir in their graves any more why soon we are to have a new gymnasium to take the place of the flah trap at winspear and bailey far be it from the bee to take credit for the building of the new gymnasium but we will admit that it was largely through the efforts of tbe sports editors of the past five or ten years that enough de rogatory remarks were passed to awaken enough people to build us a new athletic plant two years ago it was published in the bee that the barn had been blown away by the 6.8 m.p.h gale that swept buffalo on that day fantastic as it may seem there were letters from all over the world more or leas written by the thankful alumni who believed it was true small wonder as the barn was in such a state when the oldsters graduated from this school that they could well believe that it had been blown away by a mere i zephyr what a task the staff had white masquers learn rules get first hand informa tion on back stage affairs the first meeting of the white masquers was held saturday after noon ln tbe norton
