having law school in cluded as well it is hoped that in the initial campaign many people will sign up definitely so that the staff may obtain a fairly good estimate of the number of books needed now children said the teach er i'm going to tell about the hip popotamus but you will have no idea what it 1b like unless you pay strict attention and look at me final appeal issued for bandsmen lack of interest may lead to curtailment of ac tivity this article is being written in a final gesture to rouse interest in the university's band mr van lfer the director has bpent much time with the email group that ! turns out every friday afternoon at four o'clock but as everyone knows nothing can be accomplish ed in the line of band work with a i handful of musicians it takes a lot of practice and more than five or ten faithful student musicians to make a band go one would think that the spec tacle produced at the hobart game by the hobart band would inspire our students to an effort as great fts hobart if not greater there are enough musicians who play band instruments la this school to make an excellent band but they don't come out the u b band got off to a flying start and lasted a month or so and then we have a very good man to di rect the band mi van lier who besides being a most capable mu sician personally appeals very much to the fellowb never before has the school had such a good director but there is a lack of mu sicians to direct as was stated above this is a flnal cry for more men for the band if this plea is not felt and responded to the u b band 1b going to be as defunct as all the other previous u b bands started on the campus there is plenty of music one rehearsal a week on friday at four o'clock in 390 hayes hall and a swell time with your fellow students now all that is wanted is the fellows to bring their instruments and make this u b band a suc cess and the best ever at the uni versity of buffalo the following men are requested to come out for band
