dual registration to fill out the required registration forms for the second semester in the office of the evening session on or before february 3 since registration in that division is conducted on a semester basis blue masquers store junk and construct sets cf.osby workshop in constant u3e it's officially known as room 40 crosby that big bare room in the corner of the basement but its of ficial name conceals its identity in real life it is the blue masquers workshop generally it's just a store-room for junk — either incred ibly dirty or immaculately clean with never a happy medium but now it's a beehive of industry well maybe not a beehive but any way it's pretty nard to find an afternoon when sumt one isn't there doing something per naps it's a girl or two slapping tan paint on a flat a technical word meaning a hunk of scenery soullully and — sloppily or it's one of the men cussing vehemently the com bination of a college student and a stage craftsman makes for some pretty good cussing because a care lully measured squared and sawed board turned out to be six inches too short but all the efforts uren't feeble the average is pretty good some swell sets are being turned out the credit goes to mr travis the mas quers have discovered that their director is also a capable scenic de signer he knows what he wants and ne knows how he wants it done he made scale working drawings for every piece of the complicated set and supervised its construction con sequently the sets go together and will hold together not only during the forthcoming production of r u r but long after it's designed to be a permanent set technically it's known as a unit bet the masquers were proud of the bar for outward bound which kept falling apart but they're prouder of an elegant fire place which doesn't " they're pretty well caught up now but one job still remains it would satisfy any one's desire to do something big the cy clorama must be painted and that's a job what is a job it's a drop for the back of the stage and it's going to take a lot of paint and a lot of elbow grease just the same the mas quers have set a new record this year the set will be completed more than a half hour before the curtain goes up exams are coming have you notice a different at mosphere around school since vacat ion doesn't everyone in general have a slightly serious expression a less sprightly walk a rather degrad ed quantity of ego do you know why exams are coming everyone looks slightly sheepish when the professors speak of exams and we all experience a most peculiar sensation thoughts such as de mand and supply monopoly price the wars of edward iv and the helmholtz theories occur to some of us we all decide to have no dates until after exams then something comes along and we say oh i'll study all afternoon tomorrow well we have only a few days left so maybe it might be best to settle down to business let's give the faculty a surprise today in your bee 9uad jtbout j semester basis blue masquers store junk and construct sets cf.osby workshop in constant u3e it's officially known as room 40 crosby that big bare room in the corner of the basement but its of ficial name conceals its identity in real life it is the blue masquers workshop generally it's just a store-room for junk — either incred ibly dirty or immaculately clean with never a happy medium but now it's a beehive of industry well maybe not a beehive but any way it's pretty nard to find an afternoon when sumt one isn't there doing something per naps it's a girl or two slapping tan paint on a flat a technical word meaning a hunk of scenery soullully and — sloppily or it's one of the men cussing vehemently the com bination of a college student and a stage craftsman makes for some pretty good cussing because a care lully measured squared and sawed board turned out to be six inches too short but all the efforts uren't feeble the average is pretty good some swell sets are being turned out the credit goes to mr travis the mas quers have discovered that their director is also a capable scenic de signer he knows what he wants and ne knows how he wants it done he made scale working drawings for every piece of the complicated set and supervised its construction con sequently the sets go together and will hold together not only during the forthcoming production of r u r but long after it's designed to be a permanent set technically it's known as a unit bet the masquers were proud of the bar for outward bound which kept falling apart but they're prouder of an elegant fire place which doesn't " they're pretty well caught up now but one job still remains it would satisfy any one's desire to do something big the cy clorama must be painted and that's a job what is a job it's a drop for the back of the stage and it's going to take a lot of paint and a lot of elbow grease just the same the mas quers have set a new record this year the set will be completed more than a half hour before the curtain goes up exams are coming have you notice a different at mosphere around school since vacat ion doesn't everyone in general have a slightly serious expression a less sprightly walk a rather degrad ed quantity of ego do you know why exams are coming everyone looks slightly sheepish when the professors speak of exams and we all experience a most peculiar sensation thoughts such as de mand and supply monopoly price the wars of edward iv and the helmholtz theories occur to some of us we all decide to have no dates until after exams then something comes along and we say oh i'll study all afternoon tomorrow well we have only a few days left so maybe it might be best to settle down to business let's give the faculty a surprise today in your bee 9uad jtbout j sat urday when they stack up against the alfred cagers on the saxons court last year alfred eked out a 40-39 victory over the bulldogs when they invaded thc down-stater es backyard this year the bulldogs will be out to avenge that one-point loss and get even with the saxons alfred appears to have the best quintet that has represented the school in quite some time their clean-cut 30-20 victory over niagara was the fourth consecutive win for the orange cagers this season and proves that they have a strong out fit down at alfred a brilliant pass ing attack featured the win over the purple with niagara threatening the saxons lead late in the game th e alfred hoopsters launched a speedy passing attack that completely swept the monteagle cagers off their feet in the starting line-up for alfred the same five that defeated niagara will likely be in there at the opening whistle young and minnick are the likely starters at the forward posts adessa and trumbull guards and edelson center alfred's pair of high-scoring guards should make it troubesome for the powellmen as they tallied 17 points between them in that hectic niagara contest art powell's starting five shapes up as
