assistants to enter state service is to be held in march most of tj b seniors graduating this february june or in summer school who are legal residents of new york state will be eligible to compete the examination will offer oppor tunity for launching on a career in any of more than twelve fields of specialization under the headings bacteriology chemistry education engineering journalism law li brary science recreation social service and statistics while most of the appointments will be made at the starting salary of 2,400 some titles bear entrance salaries varying from 2,160 to 2 640 in
