dancing to the music of bob cleveland's orchestra editorial action demanded this is the centennial year for the university of buffalo all men connected with the school have been bragging and shouting the praises of our somewhat noble institution for the better part of this year and yet at the present time there exists on this campus a condition that is a disgrace to our or ganization i am speaking of the lack of a clinic on the campus any industrial organization employing five thousand workers would be subject to legal action were they without any facilities for medical attention yet here one could die before any attempt at first aid could be made the university of buffalo graduates over half a hundred doctors every year we have a school of medical technology nurses are trained in part on this campus but are there any doctors or nurses in permanent attendance on these lax but hal lowed grounds the answer is all too plainly evident only a few weeks ago a girl cut her hand badly on a broken window in hayes hall it was only through her own efforts that she finally found someone to drive her to the hospital where she had five stitches put in her hand last may a girl fainted and fell down the library steps she was carried to an office where she lay on the floor for more than an hour before a doctor could be found when she re gained consciousness she was hysterical and further examina tion revealed a concussion a year ago a young man had a heart attack while leaving hayes he fell and struck his head he was carried to the so-called infirmary where it was over three and a half hours before an ambulance arrived he died at the hospital soon after surely these are blemishes on the fine record of our univer sity even more surely something should be done about it the time for idle talk and discussion has long passed some one should take definite action immediately y7e 4 of the bee athletic cards to be exchanged for game tickets tickets will be available and cards
