the bee the greater university of buffalo weekly vol 6 university of buffalo dec 4 1925 no 9 dramatic club to present three plays next saturday director goodreds and cast promise splendid program student body urged to attend and support initial effort saturday evening december 12 at 8:00 p m the dramatic club makes its first public presentation of three one-act plays in the auditorium of the normal school the plays are one vengeance height bobby settles down and the bank robbery for one of the plays on ven geance height it was necessary to obtain a varied collection of pistols and old rifles to aid in the portrayal of a mountain feud a typical moun taineer's cabin scene has the proper ties which give the decided clue to the raging feud around which the action of the play lies the make-ups and wearing apparel for the cast of this play has to reflect the actual char acter of such personages in the moun tain life in bobby settles down much of the effect rests on the furnishings as tthe play is staged in a most aristo cratic english drawing room one of the best furnishing houses on the avenue will satisfy the needs for this scene the english characterization also will not be a trivial asset the bank robbery which is the last of the group of the plays is in deed most modern as it requires all the material necessary for a present day scientific robbery the unique characterization and thrilling plot will tend to immediately arous the in terest of everyone many kinds of ex plosives and burglar attachments will be used to prove the instant and cunning tricks of the underworld the director mr spencer goodreds is using his best efforts to aid in the successful presentation of these plays the casts are also striving for the same goal the dramatic club is ready for another year to uphold its standard it is up to the students now to show their appreciation for these efforts by going and enjoying this splendid program as well as sup porting the dramatic club
