ridge park starting at 12 noon the norton union tournament committee will present its annual spring week end picnic box lunches will be provided for dorm students who plan to go di rectly to the picnic organization groups attending as usual will bring their own alcoholic refresh ment arrows will paint the way to the picnic site at chestnut ridge park inter-fraternity baseball competition egg-throwing and bal loon breaking contest toilet paper rolls a pie-eating contest and a tug-of-war are some of the antici pated stunts dick lo tempio is general chair man his committee includes ray khonke games chairman marie saccamando and dan gregorio tickets chairman shelly biondillio prize chairman and elaine weich mann publicity chairman tickets still may be purchased in norton lobby bulk-reduced rates are being offered to campus organi zations battle of bands set for dance battle of the bands is the pre vailing theme of the annual spring weekend dance new to the campus this year is the incorporation of three bands each playing a distinct style of music the eddie kaye combo will pre sent their rendition of modern jazz eli konikoff and his aggregation who have enjoyed great success along the east coast and in buf falo will display their talents in dixieland music modern trends in music will be offered by the dance able music of tom ingrahm and his orchestra the dance sponsored by the nor ton union dance committee will be held in the snack bar audito rium and millard fillmore lounge respectively of norton union tony bartholomew is general chairman other chairmen from the dance committee are bob saglian band chairman ron mankowskl and stan kowalski publicity chair man joe mancuso and nancy cash decorations chairman jack welch and priscilla bowman ticket chair man and larry figura refresh ments chairman a highlight of the dance will be the presentation of a 1956 ford by kappa psi pharmaceutical frater nity to the holder of the winning ticket drawn by the queen
