informa tion is available through polytix at 212-864-3000 dr lenora fulani killing blacks not buffalo news by abdullah luqman joseph christopher's a white buffalonian who is serving a 33-years to-life sentence from his conviction of a killing and a knife attack in manhattan last year and also known as the 22 caliber killer ' who is credited with sesren murders and numerous stabblings that terrorized dark skinned residents of buffalo niagara falls ana new york city in the fall of 19801 retrial and conviction did not make the lop 10 list of news events in buffalo's only daily newspaper which is white owned these are some of the crimes and movements in the fall of 1980 that were on the video tape by psychiatrist russell barton in which christopher confessed to sept 8 he tried to have himself committed to the buffalo psychiatric center sept 19 he enlisted into the army sept 22 he killed glenn dunn with a sawed-off 22 caliber rifle sept 23 he slew harold green and emmanuel thomas with the same 22 rifle all of buffalo sept 24 joseph mccoy of niagara falls died after being shot by that 22 parlor edwards was found in the trunk of his taxi with his heart cut out on a thru way service road on oct 8 ernest jones was found oct 9 on a boat launching ramp also with his heart cut out neither heart ever to be found dec 29 roger adams was slabbed to death in rochester for which he takes credit and he attacked albert menefee with a knife at a bus stop dec 31 1980 these were the local stories not national or international events that eight buffalo news editors rated best because of their significance to life in western new york ahead of the random killings and trial and conviction of the 22 caliber killer the barge - the wreck of barge 45 from aug 7 to dec 19th jim kelly - the signing of buffalo bills quarterback the sub way and the mall - formal opening of the transit line and downtown pedes trian mall buffalo's baseball stadium - minor league stadium mega-mall prospects - a 1.2 bi'lion idea with no firm commitments peggy say - sister of hostage terry anderson the earthquake grant - university of buffalo's earth quake grant trico - plans to shift work to mexico bowman and the sabres - worst record in hockey and kemp keane - race for the house of representatives seat the tragedy of this is not the major news sources but the lack of public outcry or news blackout of our leaders everywhere that i traveled during the holiday season people were screaming like this joseph christopher is a serial murder and on a black man the fbi should have had a psychological profile of him that would convict him as sure as fingerprints witness statements and/or composite photographs glen dunn lost his life because he moved the car out of the light in front into the dark by the fence christopher was not cra/y me was a bushwacker who would sneak up on a person with a gun and blow him away and then take an escape route that he had mapped out before they gave him 60 years-to-life before and he got out of that i'll bet thai within ten years he'll beat the case on appeal every should not buy the news on thursday and buy the criterion and the challenger to let those editors know that some of our money pays their salaries prosecution psychiatrist dr rus sell barton said that even if joseph christopher had been mentally ill the severe symptoms of schizophrenia would have passed by his mid-twenties barton said that he found that christopher had personality problems which began in his early childhood ami does not think thai he ever had paranoid schizophrenia the video tapes of dr barton's interviews with christopher were shown to the jury during the trial in the retrial of christopher for the shooting deaths of glenn dunn harold green and kmmanual thomas with a sawed-off 22 caliber rifle defense attorneys scan hill and david jay did not deny that christopher committed those crimes rather thai he was insane at the time hat they were committed christopher said that he killed cab drivers parlor edwards and ernest jones cut out their hearts and drove wooden slakes through them according to pshchiatrist brian joseph when asked how did he know to cut out the hearts joseph said that christopher told him that he fell his own heart this information has been doubted by retired homicide chief detective leo donovan in a published report donovan said that it would have been physically impossible for christopher acting alone to remove the hearts the way that these were removed christopher was convicted of a lesser charge of manslaughter for three murders in a 26-hour-period between 10 p.m sept 22 and midnight sept 23 1980 he was convicted of second degree murder of these same crimes in 1982 christopher will be sentenced
