legitimate investigations into violations pertaining to delivery of personal and health services to art clients served by home health tare agencies which have contract with the erie county ivpt of stcial s«»rs*k*es h stated as h result of my inquiries the county depi of social services has had several of its contracts p-ith erea home health care „-■- cies audited by the state ivpt of social services these audits have already resulted in hun dreds of thousand of dollars in financial settle ments which benefit the taxpayer and some audit finding regarding medi raid improprieties prid most likely lead to the imposition of additional financial pens pordum noted that the taxpayers will re-coup even more as the slat on going investigation con tinues he explains that the standards and format for the home health care investigations which are being conducted in erie county were modelled after informetion supplied by him the home health are service investigations first launched in
