There was a public hearing concerning an application for Rezoning for Earl Long, 2490 Long Road from B2 to Ml. No .one spoke in favor of the rezoning. The owners of 2524 hired attorney Frank Kedzielawa to speak in opposition to the rezoning. He said: The property is less than the required 1.5 acres and rezoning would be a violation of current M-l regulations. It would be spot zoning solely for the benefit of.the property owners. If it . were rezoned to M - 1 all M - T. uses would be allowed, including "adult" uses, that would be out of character for the otherwise residential neighborhood. A full SEQRA(environmental) review should be required for this type of rezoning; not an abbreviated review like the town is doing. Rezoning would make 2454 Long and another property into a residential "island" surrounded by businesses and reduce their proper. ty values..wv.-w.. ~\ Supervisor Peter McMahon communications: Read a letter to .Erie County Legislator Charles Swanick from Virginia and Nino Nanula concerning the intersection of Bush and Baseline Roads. Nanula was concerned about the overgrowth of brush and suggested a four way stop there. McMahon noted that the County will cut the brush and the Grand Island Traffic Advisory board will study the need for a four way stop at that intersection. The Board then approved: $9275.00 from the contingency fund to "repair the Highway Department Facility.
