Pataki and Ontario Premier Mike Harris signed a historic memorandum Tuesday morning of understanding and cooperation to increase trade, economic development and tourism promotion for the New York-Ontario region, at the firstever New York-Ontario Economic Summit. In addition, in a step reflecting a mutual desire to achieve free and open markets. New York State and Ontario have also taken action to ensure that both governments' procurements are open and available to all businesses in both jurisdictions."By working together we can create new jobs and opportunities on both sides of the border," Pataki said.
