ISLAND DISPATCH 47th Anniversary Riverlea Built in 1873, River Lea was originally part of the 500 acre Allenton Farm on which President Grover Cleveland, nephew of Lewis F. Allen, worked in his youth. Now part of Beaver Island State Park, the landmark since 1962 has been headquarters for the Grand Island Historical Society. The museum was designated a landmark by the Landmark Society of the Niagara Frontier in July 1990.
