MEK Chamber Seeks GIEDC Town Funding THE GRAND Island Chamber of Commerce is supporting the Grand Island Economic Development Corporation in its efforts to obtain additional town funding for projects aimed at luring business to the Island industrial park and Foreign Trade Zone. Chamber directors at a recent meeting voted to urge its members to attend Monday's 8 P.M. town board meeting when the organization's request will be presented. The Grand Island Economic Development Corporation was established by the Chamber in 1983. It has been successful in having Island acreage designated as a foreign trade zone and in bringing more tax paying industry to the business zoned area at the north end of the Island. MEK i UmtmmmmM ■
