Islanders Oppose Shoreline Control Law THERE WAS standing room only, and not much of that, in the Grand Island Court room Monday evening during a public hearing, held to air a proposed law to regulate waterfront facilities in residential areas. "We are trying to respond but we cannot respond to everyone. A public hearing is to get information on the table." "We thought there was a need for changes in our present ordinance," Councilwoman Marion P. Fabiano added. "In my mind, I would just like to forget about it," Councilman James H. Pax said after listening to the numerous complaints."I don't think we need it (the proposed law) and would CONTINUED ON PAGE IS Mail To: Weekend At A Glance FRIDAY WIDOW/WIDOWERS SUPPORT GROUP DINNER, West River Restaurant. 6 P.M.
