The members were honored by a visit of the moderator of the Stro- haver Club, Mr. .Austin McTigue. whose pleasant task it was to criticixe the photographs that were under dis¬ cussion al the meeting.

Plans were made for a banquet to close this, the most sucvressful year in the Camera Club's history. ITits af¬ fair is to be held the last week in May but as yet we know iwt where.
the College pertaining to Moving Up Day. Candidates for offices have been selected by the various classes and or¬ ganizations of Canisius. At these pri¬ mary meetings each group nominated from their ranks the men whose names will appear on the offidal elec¬ tion ballot. A copy of this ballot will be found on page 5 of this issue of the Griffin.
In order to be nominated for Presi¬ dent of the Student Body, a petition signed by 50 signatures was a neces¬ sary prerequisite. The candidates for this, the most important student office at Canisius, are Mr. Walter J. Bar¬ rett, Mr. Mario Gian, Mr. William O'Connell, all members of the Class of '36.
During the coming week the candi¬ dates for the various offices through the mediums of speeches, placards, platforms, and letters to the GrifEn will inform the school at large of their qualifications for the office they wrish to be elected to on Movnng Up Day.
Each organization and class will conduct its own election while the general election will be supervised by (Continued on page five)
First Friday Mass Of¬ fered for Deceased Faculty and Alnmnus
Former Professors and Stiident MentioQed in Mass By FiUher Bonn, Student Coonsdlor; Sht- dent Qkmt ^ngs at Benediction
On May 3rd, the first Friday of the month, the Rev. Edward B. Bunn, S. J., Student Counsellor, offered the sacrifice of the Mass for the repose of the soub of Mr. ,\Ianuel Rivera, the Rev. Frederick Bunse, S. J., Mr. James Hoar, former professors at Canisius College, and of Mr. Michael F. Drurv, an alumnus of the class of 1932.
Mr. Rivera died about three years ago while professor of Spanish at Canisius. He is well remembered for his interest in the student body and for his activities oir behalf of Cani¬ sius .Alunuii.
-Mr, Hoar died about tvx-o years ago. He served on the faculty as pro¬ fessor, and OS registrar in the Dean's office. He is also remembered for his activities with the aluiimi.
Fr. Bunse, who died during Easter week of this year, gained his reputa¬ tion ,i.s Professor of Greek at Cairisius High School and College and as author of a widely used Greek gram¬ mar. For the last several years he had been assigned to St. Ann's parish where he fulfilled his duties well.
Mr. Drury graduated from Cani¬ sius College in 1932. While at Canisius he was a star on the basket¬ ball team and participated in many other extra-curricular activities. He met xvith a fatal accident while at xvork \t\ a steel plant.
