In making the following announcement The Com­mittee of the Educational Union for the Realization of Spiritual Values wishes to thank its members for their expression of interest and support of this pioneer un­dertaking, which has been responsible for advancing, for the first time in this country, the principles of Edu­cation outlined by Dr. Rudolf Steiner.
As will be remembered in the early letters describing the Union started in England after the Oxford Confer­ence in 1922, the American Branch was formed with the hope of inviting Dr. Steiner to speak in this coun­try. His death early in 1925 brought a sad change in the plan of this organization, for realizing this purpose, and since we were not to have the privilege of hearing his voice, it was decided to let his words speak to our members and subscribers through the channel of this quarterly pamphlet.
In the meantime, as his name has become known in wider circles, study groups of this pedagogy have been formed in a number of countries, and a growing insight on the part of many parents and teachers has led to an association to carry on the message of his great con­tribution to education. In this country such an asso­ciation was organized during the past winter under the name of “The Rudolf Steiner Educational Union” and it is with sincere belief in its purposes that The Committee of The Educational Union for Spiritual Values endorses this step and begs to announce that henceforward the aims of this Committee will be rep­resented in the publication of “The Rudolf Steiner Educational Union.”
