Nazareth is a coeducational, independent college on a suburban campus just outside Rochester, N.Y. The Nazareth College Archives hold papers, photographs, memorabilia and miscellaneous items going back to the founding of the college in 1924.
Nazareth College Gleaner Collection
Nazareth College Archives has digitized all issues of the Gleaner, which is the student newspaper. The Gleaner began publication in 1926 and is currently published today. All issues are available through New York Heritage.
Nazareth College Photograph Collection
Over 200 photographs pertaining to Nazareth College have been digitized and are available through New York Heritage. Photographs go back to the original college on Lake Ave. (The Glass House). Some of the other topics included are the college buildings, May Day, student productions, college presidents, and student events.
Nazareth College Poster Collection
The Nazareth College Arts Center opened in 1967 and introduced such performing arts as experimental theater, modern dance, circus arts, international and ethnic productions, and children’s theater professionally and consistently to the Rochester area. Posters and programs from many of these productions have been scanned and are available through New York Heritage.
