NOTE 
Mr. Thomas Streatfeild, in 1754 was a friend of David Clarkson.  He was connected with the eminent merchantile house of Pomeroy & Streatfeild and drew the highest prize.  $25,000 in gold was Mr. Clarkson’s share.  He named a son for Thomas Streatfeild, hence the name in the following generations.
