Notes	The house is mentioned in John Scherer's book Greek Temples on the Towpath: A History and Guide to the Vischer Ferry Historic District, 1985. Scherer notes that by the 1860's, the house and lot were 'acquired by James W. Fowler, who probably either renovated the old [...] house or possibly destroyed it to build a new one. The jerkinhead roof and Victorian doors, windows and trim, indicate that the present [...] home was probably built or renovated in the late 1860s' (p. 52).
