year. Executive Board kicked
off the "'aSOn with an Informa.
tion Table at Communication
Central during Orie ntation.
This was followed by the an·
nual Club fair on Septemboer
11th. This event gave Sludents
the opportunity to find out
about, and sign·up for, duw.
Approximately t6 dubs par·
ticipaled and at least 12SI""'I'1e
attended. judging from the
numbers of ..,rvings of Senste·
provided ice c",am that was
devoured. September 15th a
leadership conference, fealur·
ing the Go-getlers, was sponsored
for club leaders, senators,
class officers, and freshmen
candidates. Emerging from the
conference more motivated
than eve r, the Senate rallied for
• rousing loss against the
Marathon Men (we did make
one run!). The month was
finished off with freshman
Eledions. No apathy in the
ClaS$ of '89; for 16 candidates
ran for seven positions, and 191
freshmen turned out 10 VOle!
